How to pencil

This project used a range of software and hardware.

Some of the resources we used were:

• pencils :-)
• plasticine
• wire (inside our plasticine figure to keep him flexible and from falling apart)
• drill - to twist the wire
• beads - for the eyes
• pvc pipe - for a large pencil effect
• glue gun - to glue our plasticine figure to a blank cd
• video camera - to take pictures for the animation (approx. 300 pictures)

Macintosh Computer with
• Garage Band - create our own music
• Frame Thief - to capture the image frames
• Final Cut Express and/or imovie - for final editing of the animation
• Audacity - for editing the sound files and converting to mp3's
• USB directional microphone
• Quicktime Pro - just handy for being able to export the movie for podcasting
